Thrive Content Builder 2.0
Thrive Content Builder 2.0 is coming soon!
Thrive Content Builder 2.0 (TCB 2.0) will be the first massive update, and in many ways a complete overhaul, to the original Thrive Content Builder.
TCB is a visual editor that gives WordPress website owners the luxury of editing their websites visually using drag-and-drop design real-time features. One of Thrive Content Builder's greatest features is its ease-of-use and faster/less cumbersome interface.
Shane Melaugh of Thrive Themes just released an announcement video and blog post with all of the details. I've embedded the video below.
I am BEYOND excited for the release of TCB 2.0.
My entire website was created from the ground up using TCB. Every page on my website from the homepage, to the blog landing page, to this very blog post was handcrafted using Thrive Content Builder.
I didn't even know what I was missing until I got the email this morning announcing the new version is coming soon.
Though I haven't any complaints (and still don't) with the functionality of TCB, the video did showcase quite a few quality of life improvements:
An Overall Revamped Interface
The interface in general is completely revamped and modernized. Much of the interface used to be handled on-screen on the elements themselves. Now the UI is entirely on the side allowing more visibility and real-time changes.
Real-time Margin and Font Size Changes (Sliders)
Being able to see my margin changes in real time by dragging a slider is incredibly powerful for design. Before the interface required you to punch in a margin per item, but now I can more visually and dynamically see the changes.
Gradients and Overlays
This change is MASSIVE! Gradients colro overlays over images are something I used to have to do in photoshop. Now I'll be able to just overlay a color and even a gradient right within the builder.
I caught this little gem by pausing the video. Video backgrounds are coming to TCB 2.0! These are a great tool for modern designs, and until now pretty hard to do with the TCB 1.0.
TCB currently doesn't allow for any angle decorations without knowing CSS and having to custom code it in. TCB 2.0 is bringing a dragging slider to cut images at an angle!
Although I can't complain too much about it, the current TCB is rather blocky. Things are pretty much on what appears to be a grid without being able to customize them within TCB itself. This look could technically be accomplished in photoshop right now, but this is much better.
Can't Wait For TCB 2.0!
To say I'm excited is an understatement. I use Thrive for myself and all of the consulting work I do. So having the ability to make so many more changes on the fly is awesome.
